Why go direct

You pay for the install. Not the sales pitch.

  1. 01

    The crew other companies hire

We install systems for other solar companies. Hire us directly and you deal with the people who install your system.

  2. 02

    No sales commission

There’s no commissioned salesperson between you and the crew, so there’s no commission in your price.

  3. 03

    No advertising budget

We don’t spend money on advertising, so that cost stays out of your price too.

  4. 04

    One written quote

Equipment, expected yearly production, permits and the full price, on paper.

  5. 05

    Careful installs

Flashed roof attachments, tidy conduit and wiring, and a clean site at the end of every day.

Pricing

Priced for your home, not from a price list.

We don’t publish prices, because every home is different. Two things set yours:

Factor 01

Your yearly power usage

Send us your last 12 months of power bills, or your total yearly usage in kWh. We use it to design the system size that gives you the best return.

Factor 02

How complex your home is to install on

Roof pitch and height, the number of roof faces and the electrical work needed all change the work on site. Your price reflects the real job.

You get one written quote with everything in it.

No. We’re an installation crew. Other solar companies hire us to install their systems, and homeowners, businesses and farms can hire us directly.

Every home is different. Your price depends on the system size your usage calls for and on how complex your home is to install on. Send us your yearly usage and we’ll give you a written quote.

Your last 12 months of power usage, from your bills or your electricity account, and your address.

Yes. The panels we install are rated to −40 °C and a 5,400 Pa snow load.

In Alberta, your electricity retailer credits it under the micro-generation rules. In British Columbia, you get credit through net metering with BC Hydro or FortisBC.

Texpowers arranges the building or development permits, the electrical permit and the utility interconnection application.

A typical home installation takes one to three days on site once permits and utility approvals are in place.

Standard grid-tied systems shut off automatically during a blackout to protect utility workers. Adding a battery keeps essential circuits, such as the fridge, furnace and lights, running.

The panels and mounting hardware can be removed and reinstalled once the roofers finish.

Yes. Because the system uses Hoymiles microinverters, more panels can be added without replacing a central string inverter.

Very little, and panel-level monitoring in the app shows how each panel is performing.
